Back when I got properly into SEO, I learned (from people like Rand, Wil, Sam and Mike) that the way you proved you weren’t one of the digital charlatans was to share all the stuff you knew at conferences.
If you were full of shit, one of the decent SEOs would call you out.
Thankfully, I wasn’t full of shit.
ANYWAY.
Sharing your professional knowledge is a great habit to keep to:
- It reduces the temptation to bullshit your way through life
- It helps people who can’t afford your services to do take a DIY approach
- It feeds my desire to overshare
- I’m a show off
